It would be plagiaristic not to give credit to Yes for the opening italicized text, which is pulled directly from the lyrics of a song titled Parallels from their 1977 album, Going for the One. The cover collage and the center of the triptypch (which technically may not be a triptych at all, however in the case of this polyptych book the three collages are presented as one) are also inspired by songs from that album, which opened my ears and mind as a 9 year-old boy, and continues to entertain me fifty years later as an old man.

As for the collaborations with Allan Bealy on the left and right of the inner triptych, the “halves” approach, proposed by Mr Bealy, revealed to me that, just as excellent music is born out of the collaboration of multiple musicians, so too it seems that two heads and four hands make better collages than those made independently. To push the music analogy further, in the case of these collabs, they are like duets, in which one artist writes the melody and the other is charged with finding the harmony.
